Merry England 2.0
I was mysteriously awoken from sleep recently by the words of the esteemed, English born spiritual teacher John Parr. In a very clear and distinct voice he told me to
“Play the game, you know you can’t quit until it’s won. Soldier on, only you can do what must be done. You know in some way you’re a lot like me, you’re just a prisoner and you’re trying to break free.”
As the accompanying music became louder he continued his words of wisdom with a reminder that
‘St Elmo’s Fire was burning in me.”
Well, that woke me up.
Strange though this was, it was perfectly timed because I had been suffering with extreme sleep deprivation and ringing in my ears. It was clear that I had now moved from the acute to the chronic stage where I was not just hearing a high-pitched ring tone all day long but also now the words of an obscure song from 1984 which I had completely forgotten about. I was thankful for this though, for without I would probably have thrown in the towel.
Having discussed this strange pseudo-mystical experience with others I wondered if I had allowed life to get a little too serious. You see for a couple of years now I have been writing my follow up to Soul Strong Volume One. With a working title of Soul Strong Volume 1.5 The Divine Society, and 350,000 words deep (and counting) this was obviously a very light hearted and inconsequential tome (!!!) wherein I laid out precisely how the world was ruled by dark forces, and how we all had a choice of how to react to this fact. We could either
A - pretend this was not true (the preferred option for most).
B - allow the realisation to destroy you, or
C - be grateful that you’ve woken up.
But what I now understood was that there was also a fourth choice
D - laugh.
Laughter is important for many reasons, not least because the Devil cannot stand to be mocked. The Devil you ask? What’s all this Christian nonsense? Well you can call it what you like – Satan, Ahriman, Lucifer, Iblis, Moloch, Diabolos, Mulengro - but there is absolutely no doubt whatsoever that there exists a force, an energy, that seeks to weaken us, to pull us away from the Divine, to distort, destroy and generally mess up our lives. In one way this force this is internal, a part of us that we must take responsibility for. Yet it is also bigger than us, external to us, pre-dates us and overshadows us.
This force show itself through all the controlling institutions of the world. It manifests through the Tories and Labour, through Republicans and Democrats, through Greens, libertarians and liberals, communists, fascists and anarchists. Covid vaccine fanatics and worshippers of the Religion of the NHS are ruled by it, but so are many vaccine refuseniks. This dark force long ago penetrated the Christian church (and is currently engaged in eating it alive from the inside) but it is equally present in Islam, Hinduism, Judaism and Buddhism. In fact there is no place, nowhere, no body, no thing, on this earth, which remains untouched by it. It is as has been previously told to us
“For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6.12
Now, if we can accept that this is the case – and I completely understand that many cannot – then the next question is what is to be done? The answer, it seems to me, is to laugh. So it’s time to forget Love and Light, and embrace instead, Love and Laughter.
You see it’s not just me. It’s all become just tooooo serious. In the modern world intentions are too quickly taken the wrong way, everything is examined for its deep meaning and import (even when it has none), and words are twisted to support agendas, when the truth is that 99% of what happens in our world is of no significance whatsoever, passing by on the wind and forgotten five minutes later. Turning yourself over at night whittling about social justice achieves nothing. Instead, get a life. There has been injustice on this planet since Day One and you think you can change that, in your short, insignificant lifespan? Gimme a break, social justice will never be achieved through revenge, and revenge is all that most social justice warriors want. That’s just one example in a long list of ‘Things People Think About Which Actually Amount to Nothing.” There are many such cases!
Pomposity is now everywhere. Social media has become a home for the narcissistic. Who cares about the opinions of some random content curator online? Well, of course, plenty of people do, but they would be better off if they didn’t. They would at least be happy and free. Which brings me to the title of this little article, Merry England 2.0.
Merry England 1.0, the original, is a term coined for the state of life enjoyed by ordinary folk in England (not Britain) from around 1300 – 1700 AD, before the Industrial Revolution. Part history, part wishful thinking, Merry England was the place of peasant’s revolts, plague, famine, war and very short life spans. For these reasons historians are often very sniffy about it. But it was also a time of community, connection with God, festivals and celebrations throughout the year, unadulterated food, pure water and honest human connections. So are we quite sure that we are better off today? Are we quite certain that health-destroying bus or train commutes, punctuated by a soul-sapping eight, ten or twelve hours staring at a screen is ‘progress’? Don’t come at me with a defence of the modern world until you can explain why perfectly healthy people are dropping dead in what should be the prime of their life, why there is a dementia patient in the Oval Office and why people standing alone on the street praying, silently in their head, are arrested, while mobs of hundreds or even thousands are allowed to block roads for hours while they engage with their religion. If anyone really thinks about it for a moment it is clear to see that we have taken a wrong turning somewhere and while the past was no paradise the modern world leaves a great deal to be desired. It is for this reason – and do please laugh your way through the rest of this – that we are heading to hell.
Confining myself to Britain for a moment (or in fact just England) it is obvious where we are going – civil war and/or some sort of apartheid state. It’s just a matter of when, and who lands up on top. Though none of this is funny, I urge you to laugh at those who are driving the bus to this destination, because, very important this, such people hate to be mocked. Yet mocked they must be for they are, truly, servants of the Devil.
Merry England 2.0 is what will be installed after the collapse. Merry England 2.0 is not Little England though, for it will contain a population that is profoundly awaken and alert, wise to the ways of the Devil as he shows himself through politics, culture, industry, media and sport. If you worship celebrities (or want to be one yourself) Merry England 2.0 will be no place for you. Merry England 2.0 will be a home of extraordinary ordinariness, tolerant of all comers, but respectful of the past. But it will not be socialist, communist or capitalist. It will not be racist, but nor will it fall for the revenge strategy known as anti-racism. It will simply be relaxed, humane and joyous, because relations between people will be conducted in good will and with open hearts, not because such behaviour is enforced (it can’t be) but because the level of consciousness of its inhabitants will be such that that is their default vibration. Stress will be eliminated and the chance to strive toward goals preserved, but only for those who want it.
Merry England 2.0 will not be ruled by the Pronoun People, a group of ridiculous fools who believe that they own the language and labour under the delusion that they can tell me or you how to describe the experiences of our lives. Merry England 2.0 will be a judgement-free zone, and the Pronoun People can call each other whatever they like, but they will have to tolerate everyone else who refuses to play their game.
Merry England 2.0, the country that emerges after the now inevitable collapse, will be a happy place because the Progressive Delusion will have been destroyed in that collapse. The Myth of Progress will finally be seen for what it is, the product of an Idiot Mind. Things do not get better; it is just a lie that we tell ourselves. They simply change, all the time. Sometimes the changes are enjoyable and beneficial for us, other times they are not, but they are always to learn from. There is no such thing progress. The way of life is up, and then down, and then up and then down. What is called progress is simply a specific political agenda which is presented as inevitable so that you don’t question it. But everything can, and should, and must, be questioned, mocked and derided. The most serious matters, spoken by the most earnest people must be the things that are most laughed at.
Politics is a good example of this, something which is no longer a serious business conducted by serious people. It is a clown show, run by and for fools. In our current, pre-revolutionary state we are not in danger of losing democracy, it has already gone. The people in the Houses of Parliament do not make the laws. They simply codify what has been pre-agreed elsewhere. We can fight against this, pretend it isn’t true, try to get involved to ‘change things’, ignore it altogether, OR WE CAN JUST LAUGH. Politicians are morons and political pundits are imbeciles. These are joke people, not serious or substantial in any respect, and we take our power back from them by laughter and mockery. They would absolutely hate to be thought of as jokers, but that is really what they are. They thrive on being taken seriously and cannot abide being mocked. But that is how they will be defeated.
Of course none of this will happen just yet. First people in Britain (especially England) will have to pass through hell. No exaggeration is needed here. It ought to be obvious by now, Britain is heading for a civil war over the lowest of all human considerations, race. Mark my words, note this down, tell me later on how you didn’t believe me but then finally came round to accepting it. In the meantime, sit back and watch the comedy show of the Tories being blamed for everything, followed by the slow realisation that Labour are, in fact, ten times worse. Keir Starmer as Prime Minister might not be the catastrophe we want, but it might just be the catastrophe we need, the final wake-up call that all these busy-bodies who purport to know what’s best for us, every single one of them, are a joke. From our so-called elected representatives to the unelected Ginger Whinger Harry and the Doom Goblin Saint Greta, all of them deserve our derision and our mocking laughter. I mean, come on, it’s a joke, surely, to believe that the weather in thirty years’ time can be affected by supergluing your hand to the street this afternoon? I believe in magic but that’s just mental. When we laugh at those who push these insane ideas then we win, but if we are drawn into hating or resenting them then we most certainly lose. So when it all kicks off, as it surely now will, as it becomes clear who we are not allowed to mock or laugh at then we will see who really rules us. Then, and only then, can the problem be solved and this rotten system be swept away once and for all.
Merry England 2.0 is a way away yet, but we can dream, for now, about such a place, where people are free to say whatever they like, to think whatever they like and to know that nothing that is thought or said should ever be taken too seriously. I mean it could even be, shocking though this might seem today, that listening to and speaking about so-called dangerous ideas might actually be how we grow! I know, incredible isn’t it! In Merry England 2.0 we can do this once more, this time with politeness and dignity for all.
In Merry England 2.0 we won’t be ruled by children, but the benefits of a more playful, child-like approach to the world will become apparent. Mental and physical health will improve, and anxiety will decrease, because what is there to worry about, really? No longer will we have to slog into work, in a job that we hate, just to pay bills to barely survive. We will no longer endlessly analyse ourselves, or worry about how we come across to others, whether we have given offence or not. And no longer will we believe that things must get better. Instead we will be willing to place our trust in the Divine and live in the Now. Where hubris and pride brought us to the brink of ruin, merriment will be our salvation, and England will lead the way in this. England not Britain. Let the fools in Cardiff Bay, Stormont and Holyrood trot off into the pits of despair which they will oh-so-cleverly call a Progressive Utopia. And let the world fall apart, or simply find its own way. None of it is England’s’ problem to fix. No more wars, no more aid, no more colonies, no reparations, no guilt. Let England be to itself, and let the world do without our ‘influence’, so that we may find what was lost. Let Merry England 2.0 be the land that places the needs of ordinary people before the dictates of global governance. No more rule by trans-national finance, globalised corporations or alphabet agencies. I have no idea what the GDP of Merry England 2.0 will be, and frankly I do not care, for national wealth has never equalled national happiness or contentment.
This is, of course, merely a fevered dream, which you are free to discard. But if it seems fanciful then consider where we are now, in 2024, in comparison to where we were in 2004. That’s only 20 years ago, and in 20 years’ time Britain as a whole will experience its epoch defining Pluto Return. This will bring down the final curtain on Empire, together, probably, with the dissolution of the Union. We are on the down ramp to all this and more, right now, and everything is going to get harsher, more fractious, more unstable, more frantic, less safe, more violent. Five, ten, twenty years ago it might have been stopped and a different course taken, but it’s too late now. There is nothing that can stop what’s coming, yet life will go on, for it has all happened before. Consider the English Civil War and the Wars of the Roses, because it’s that kind of energy that we are now in. But it’ll all be ok if we see the long arc of history for what it really is, the work of the Devil, and run a stake through his heart with the weapon he fears the most, laughter. Do this to the Devil himself, but particularly do it to his servants. Openly laugh in the face of bureaucrats and gatekeepers of all kinds. Wherever the system says no, do the opposite. Disrupt and breakdown the system not by anger or rage, but with laughter. Laugh at the walls of the citadel until they collapse into rubble.
No sane or healthy society would allow itself to get into the state we currently inhabit, which must tell us that we are neither sane nor healthy. This might be a cause for downheartedness, but it could be the catalyst for amusement and mirth. That seems to me the better way. So, when party political candidates come knocking on your door asking for your vote later this year open the door and laugh in their faces. This is the most evolved, enlightened thing you can do, for it is the core message of the most highly advanced figure in the Tarot, the figure on the un-numbered card, the Fool. Be the Fool, and thus defeat the Devil.
If you aren’t from Merry England, or feel any particular affinity to it, that’s ok. There will be many other Merry Kingdoms and Queendoms springing up around the world. Fragmentation and independence is the mode of the future, and that trend will only accelerate as it becomes clear that globalisation IS tyranny. But Merry England will be merry precisely because the current rancour, hatred, division, entitlement, offence-taking, fear, ignorance and suspicion will be vanquished. In Merry England there will be no judgement, save the one we all face, in the mirror and then ultimately before God. Utopian madness this may seem, but watch and see what happens. It may not be quite as I describe, but it’ll be like nothing anyone expects.
If you want a bit more detail about what life in Merry England 2.0 could be like then I am afraid you are going to have to hope that I can complete the book. But I would suggest the time to get out, if you want to get out, is running out. I have great hope that life in Merry England 2.0 will have all sorts of positives and be better, for everyone, than what we have right now. The only question is how bad does it have to get first. Pretty bad, probably, but I’m resigned to that now. My interest is in what comes next and that will be the focus of my work from now on. Up until now I knew what I was against. Now I know what I am for. So everything, for me, has changed.
